How to edit hosts file on Windows

Using Windows 10 or Windows 8

1. Click on your start menu and type in “Notepad”
2. Right click Notepad and select “Run as administrator”
3. With notepad opened, select “File” > “Open…” and navigate to C:\Windows\System32\Drivers\etc\hosts
4. Double click the hosts file to open it within notepad
5. Make any changes to the hosts file as instructed on the software download page
6. Save the notepad file by selecting “File” > “Save” or by pressing “Ctrl + S”
