NVIDIA GeForce Experience is a software that allows your computer to communicate with NVIDIA Graphics Cards. You can use it to update drivers, optimize game settings, record gameplay, and more.
However, you may encounter an error code 0x0003 when trying to open the software, which will prevent you from using GeForce Experience entirely. This error appears for several reasons, such as:
- Outdated or damaged drivers.
- Nvidia telemetry service doesn’t have permission to access the desktop.
- No network connection

Reset the network adapter
Your PC needs a network connection to share data between the Nvidia GeForce Experience app and Nvidia servers. If your network connection is not working correctly, it will result in an ERROR CODE: 0x0003 error.
- Open the start menu, type “cmd,” right-click Command Prompt, then select Run as administrator.

netsh winsock reset
Enter the command. - Restart your computer and open GeForce Experience to check if it works.
Update your Nvidia GPU’s drivers
It is essential to keep your drivers up to date, especially your graphics card drivers. Outdated or corrupted drivers can cause several problems, including the Error Code: 0x0003.
- Right-click “This PC” and select Manage.

Allow Nvidia telemetry service to access your desktop

This data improves the drivers and software for your graphics card. If your telemetry service doesn’t have permission to access your desktop, you may see the “ERROR CODE: 0x0003” error when you try to open GeForce Experience.
- Press Windows key + R, type “services.msc,” and press Enter.

Reinstall all Nvidia software
This method would be the last resort if none of the other solutions worked. You will completely remove all Nvidia software from your PC and reinstall it.
- Open the start menu, type “control panel,” then open the first result.
